We all have concerns regarding our skin and over the years, especially
about tanning. Having been brought up mainly to sunbathe on the beach,
getting sunburned was just part of the package. The main thing was to get
out in the fresh air, stay in the sun and 'get healthy'; or so we all
thought.
Sunbeds came into our lives but 'they' were considered dangerous.
Uneducated in the ways of the elusive 'sun', and its rays, as perceived
from the sunbed, our ignorance produced fear in most of us and more
sensibly, caution. Now, information is rife, laws are made, scientists have
summits, sunbeds are safe. We choose where we put ourselves on the UV RAYS
monitor, whether indoors or out.
We know now not to 'over-dose' on the amount of time we spend under
those rays.We can see how other cultures treat their day to day living
under the rays, by the way they dress and how ----or if----they sunbathe.
We know also that our skin gets 'damaged' by too much., especially by
sunburn. We know to let our skin 'rest' after UVexposure, the skin
needing time to adjust and recover from the invasion of these rays, and to
build up it's own protection -----which of course, is the tan itself; this
colour being the very defence itself against damage. This is all an
invisible happening of course and for the most part we all enjoy the
process of the lovely warmth and ever increasing tan colour we get That is
why it is seductive and 'caution ' is a good word to remember..
In order for us to assist the skins efforts to build up protection and
repair any damage , which for the most part we cannot see; we can use
creams and lotions which provide our skin with necessary ingredients to
maximise this help. Most of us think that the main function of the cream or
lotion is to help us get brown. It does of course but other factors are
important as well.
Essential ingredients such as Unipertan, help aid the skin in repair work
on and underneath the skin. L-Tyrosine helps aid the skin accelerate the
tanning process. Vitamin ingredients provide our skin with lots of help
whilst we achieve our aim of getting our tan. All these types of creams
include a lot of goodness for our skin both on the surface and beneath. and
it is worth the effort to use them before a tanning session.
The sun's rays whether indoor or out are of vital importance to our lives,
for our health. We are always better off having had some rays as not at
all. Our immune systems benefit greatly from them. In our type of climate
we need them and using a sunbed is a safe way of getting them when we
can't always go on holiday.
Actually I didn't mean to re-cap over the past Newsletters , but perhaps
it's not such a bad idea. I'm always so aware of everything in moderation
and because tanning is such a pleasurable experience I'm reminding myself
of the importance of these points as well.
Enjoy all your Tanning,
Maintain your skins well-being.
