Skincare products including tanning products can include in their ingredients many plant oils. Nature provides these oils.They are ideal, and the best, when it comes to caring and keeping your skin in good shape, because of all the vitamins and minerals they provide. The hair can also be helped by the use of plant oils.

Plant oils contain fatty substances, and valuable nutrients. These help to keep the skin smooth and soft. Only a certain amount though are included in skincare creams to prevent the products from becoming overly greasy. Apart fom the greasines, in their pure form, plant oils are excellent as a tonic for the skin and the hair. It gives an added nourishing and a softening for the skin. A welcome boost.

Let’s face it. All of us ; guys and gals, are interested in benefiting our skin. We all want to look great .

Some reasons why we need to give extra care to our skin and hair.
1. Dehydration from sunny holidays or winter cold/wind/central heating
2. Dry/brittle hair !! !! !! or too much colouring
3. As help whilst using the sunbed for hair and skin.
4. During and after illness
5. After medicines
6. Pregnancy
7. To soothe skin being over-sensitive.

Vegetable oils extracted from nature don’t contain any artificial substances eg: preservatives, irritating substances, colouring, dyes, emulsifiers. Products made from mineral oils tend to stay on the skin, not being absorbed by it, eg: parrafin and vaseline – like substances, and they also block pores.

Although vegetable oils are excellent , they are greasy . It is better not to use them every day. The molecular structure of the plant oils is very small, thus easily able to be absorbed by the skin. They are very good to use in body oils.

Some types of natural oils :

For sensitive/dry skin
Aprocot kernal oil
Almond oil
Avocado oil
Wheat germ oil

For all skin types
Jojoba oil

For older skin
Peach kernal oil

Oil for hair.
Pure oil is the best way to treat your hair when you feel you need to. Just rubbing it in is extemely effective. It is good for :
Lack of softness
Lack of shine
Effective on frizzy hair
Effective on dry hair
Better hair management

I’ve never tried this myself but I’m now going to. Coconut oil is the one advised. Just warm the oil and apply. Leave for 15mins. It is easily absorbed into the hair. Rinse as necessary. Dry naturally. For greater effectiveness cover with a plastic or similar covering, then cover that with a warm towel.
