I think we need to look at tingle and non-tingle products and see
if there is a difference in their effectiveness.
Tingle products do contain the same ingredients as non-tingle. The
difference is in the addition of an extra ingredient, the tingle.
This produces an increase in the local blood supply. This in itself
is essential for providing oxygen to melanin while it turns brown
under the UV light.
Tingle products are more effective for short term use as in lasting
for a few hours or days. The long term tanning process will probably
not be affected by the product. Since most tanners think of short
term, the tingle product gives them what they want.
But what about customer satisfaction? Tingle products are best left
for a while when starting tanning from scratch as the physical effects
can be frightening to some people if they don’t know what to
expect. The ‘redness’ is a natural symptom of the process
in tanning as you will know when tanning outdoors in the sun.
You either love them or hate them and even though they are perfectly
safe it is always best to patch test them first as the products are
all different and we as individuals all react differently to these
things. Occasionaly an allergic re-action can be experienced whether
slight or strong but this is very rare.
Although there have been no clinical trials comparing any effectiveness
with this product they are very safe.
The tingle products are really good and enhance the tanning experience
when used properly and by someone who appreciates them. Although they
are more popular with the young age isn’t a problem.
Just use them sensibly.
